Buoyed by the success of the organization of the previous Ayush Days, Embassy of India organized an Ayush Day on Saturday, 4th March 2017. During the event there were presentations about Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha as well as introduction of Ayurvedic cooking in everyday life.
The programme started with a welcome speech by Mr. Vijay Khanduja First Secretary (Pol & Comm), followed by an introduction to the three doshas of Ayurveda and the maintaining of health by Dr. Ashmita Ashish Wele, Ayush Chair at the University of Debrecen. Next, Mrs. Orsolya Hajnal introduced the Art of Living yoga school, and showcased breathing exercises. The third speech was given by Mr. Károly Kovács Krishnanand introducing the philosophy of the Yoga in Daily Life. Next, Ms. Beáta Bognár Shiflish gave a lecture on healthy Ayurvedic cooking, followed by Ms. Andrea Székely Director of CHE on Homeopathy.
The final lecture was given by Ms. Borbála Kasza on the Varma system of healing in ancient Siddha tradition. The event also featured Indian refreshments based on Ayurvedic recipes. Appx 130 visitors attended the Ayush Day programme.
