Indian Embassy organized a Welcome Luncheon forum for Indian students to give them an opportunity to interact with different stakeholders.


The Embassy of India, Budapest, in collaboration with Bharatiya Samaj of Hungary (BSH), organized a Welcome Lunch for the Indian Students in Hungary on Saturday, 2 December, 2017 at the Auditorium of the ASCC. The event featured several speeches of several guests.


Mr. Vijay Khanduja, Counsellor gave opening remarks and also announced the launch of a mobile application of the Embassy. Following his speech, Mrs. Nandhini Duraisamy, Executive member of the BSH talked about internship opportunities for Indian students at GE. Then, Dr. Amar Sinha, President-Elect of the India-Hungary Business Association introduced the institution and gave an overview of its role.


Mr. Amitabh Arya, Project Controller of Apollo Tyres also talked about the background of the establishment of the plant in Hungary and the future internship possibilities. Mr. Raman Sundaram, President of the BSH informed the audience about the operation of the BSH and its annual programmes. The next speaker was Mr. Tamas Pesuth, Director of External Relations, Corvinus University who welcomed the Indian students in his speech and emphasized their positive mindset and respectful performances.


H.E. Mr. Rahul Chhabra addressed the audience on the occasion and gave friendly advice to all students. He also emphasized that they are all ambassadors of India and they should conduct themselves in a manner to promote the Indo-Hungarian ties.

The speeches were followed by a welcome luncheon.
