Ayush Day in Mostar

Embassy of India Budapest organized an Ayush Day on 31st January 2018 in the city of Mostar at the Hrvatski dom Herceg Stjepan Kosača cultural centre.


Before the event, Ambassador Rahul Chhabra called on Mr. Marko Matic, Rector of the University of Modern Sciences (CKM) along with Dr. Asmita Wele, Ayush Chair, University of Debrecen, Ms. Ankita Sood, Yoga and Life-style Expert, Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre and Mr. Sanjeev Manchanda Second Secretary (Pol&Com). Rector expressed keen interest in Ayurveda and alternative medicines and expressed the desire of the University to collaborate in these fields.

After the discussions, the Ayush Day was opened by welcoming remarks of Ms. Vesna Dodig, Yoga in Daily Life and Mr. Marko Matic, Rector of the University of Modern Sciences, Ms. Radmilla Komadina, Chief Counsellor of the Mayor of Mostar. Ambassador Rahul Chhabra, gave a speech emphasizing the importance of Yoga and Ayurveda in everyday life.

This was followed by a presentation on Ayurvedic Lifestyle by Dr. Asmita Wele, Ayush Chair, and Dr. Péter Tóth about integration of Ayurveda in health care.

Next, Ms. Ankita Sood gave a practical session on yoga for stress management, and Ms. Vesna Dodig spoke about Yoga in Daily Life.

The event was closed with remarks from Mr. Unnikrishnan Namboothiri, President of BIH-Indian Association, Executive Director at the Rejuvenation Ltd. Appx 70 persons participated in event. More pictures on Googledrive.  A video coverage was made by City Tv on Youtube.
