ICCR’s Scholarship to study in India under Education Exchange Programme in the Academic Year 2016-17
You are kindly advised to be diligent and carry out research on the specific admission criteria laid down by the various Universities for each subject, and ensure that you submit all relevant documentation as required by the Universities in addition to the basic certificates mentioned in the application form. For this, you should refer to the University Grants Commision’s website and the concerned institute’s website for eligible criteria.
Please also note that ICCR does not arrange admission in Medical / Paramedical (Nursing) / Physiotherapy / Anesthesia etc., hence application for these subjects are not to be sent.

Tagore Research Fellowship
In order to strengthen the Indo-European Studies Department, India has established a Tagore Research Fellowship on Indology and Indian Studies at Department of Indo-European Studies, ELTE University, Budapest with effect from the academic year beginning in 2007. The Fellowship is financed by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), India. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding between the ICCR and the ELTE University, Budapest was signed on February 16, 2007 at ELTE University, Budapest.
Scholarship under the Hindi Teaching Programme
Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (Central Institute of Hindi), Agra, India, conducts Hindi language courses for foreign students. Two slots are allotted every year to students from Hungary under this Scheme. All expenditure, including international air passages, boarding and lodging, internal transport, etc., of the candidates selected are borne by Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Scholarship under ITEC
The Indian Technical and Economic Co-operation (ITEC) programme was extended to Hungary in 1992. Under the ITEC Programme all expenditure, including the international air passages, boarding and lodging, internal transport, etc. in India of the candidates selected, are borne by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. This year, ten slots are allotted to Hungarian candidates for various training courses in India under ITEC programme, which are publicised through the Hungarian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
