Passport

Passport renewal:  New guidelines have been introduced for online passport renewal.

  1.  Before coming Embassy please book your appointment online through Embassy’s website on Visa/Passport section.
  2.  Only new passports are issued now.
  3.  Online passport application forms to be filled, are available at http://passport.gov.in/nri/Online.do
  4.  Photo and signature should be scanned and uploaded in online passport application. Photo should be 5×5 cm, square, with light coloured background, not white. Three additional photographs should be submitted with the application. If minors are not capable of writing then it should have RTI (Right hand Thumb Impression) in respect of girl child and LTI (Left hand Thumb Impression) in respect of boy child.
  5. After online submission of Passport application,  the Print out of the passport application, Self-attested photocopies of required documents and photographs have to be submitted to the Indian Mission. The required documents are :-   (i) Print out of the online submitted passport application.   (ii) Copy of current passport.   (iii) Copy of  Identity and Address card issued from Hungarian/Bosnian Government.  (iv) An Employment certificate from your employer. (v) Please provide a photocopy of the marriage certificate to inclusion of the  name of the spouse; if not enter in passport earlier. (vi) Copy of Birth certificate and Annexure ‘D’ Annexure-D-for-Minor-applicant.pdf in case of minor.
  6.   For change of name Partial/Full kindly provide affidavit. Proforma is attached Annexure-E-Specimen-affidavit-for-Change-name.pdf
  7.    For change/add Surname due to marriage kindly provide affidavit. Proforma is attached  ANNEXURE_D_NAME_CHANGE_AFTER_MARRIAGE_151116.pdf
  8.  To be present in person for submission of application. Signature on the application must be put before Consular Officer. If minors are not capable of writing then it should have RTI in respect of girl child and LTI in respect of boy child.
  9.  Fee may be paid at the Embassy in cash in Hungarian Forint only.
  10. Passport is  issued normally in 20 days from the date of submission of application at Embassy, subject to its receipt from the Ministry. Specific query regarding passport/Status of your Passport may be obtained from Consular officer (email:- consular@indianembassy.hu).

Notice:

Holders of all Indian hand-written passports are kindly requested to get a new Machine-Readable Passport as the hand-written ones would not be valid for travel beyond November 2015.


OPEN HOUSE MEETINGS AT EMBASSY / GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL

An “Open House” on the first Monday of every month from 1500 hrs – 1630 hrs will be held at the Embassy. Any person with a petition or unresolved issue, including consular or visa issues, that he/she would like to raise, is welcome to attend the “Open House” as scheduled above. In case the Embassy is closed on that day due to an official holiday, then the Open House will be held the following day at the same time.
